PRXB Exhaust Brakes for RV Coaches

A typical exhaust brake relies on exhaust backpressure to create braking horsepower. The problem in the past has been that as a motorhome slows down, the RPMs also come down and you lose backpressure, resulting in a loss of braking power. The PRXB addresses this very issue with a patented air valve that is designed to close as the engine’s RPMs begin to drop. The closing of this valve creates higher backpressure and therefore higher braking horsepower. At 1200 RPM the PRXB will create the same braking power as a traditional exhaust brake does at 2200 RPM. The net result is that the PRXB provides much better braking over a much wider RPM range than its predecessor or competitors. Below are products and information about our PacBrakes for RV Coaches.

RV PacBrake Specifications:

In a recent field test, a 25,000 lb motorhome traveling down a 5% grade, slowed from 50 MPH to 20 MPH 1500 ft sooner than a standard exhaust brake could without the use of service brakes. That’s 47 coach lengths! The upgrade takes a little over an hour and will definitely make your next journey less stressful. UPGRADE TODAY!
